WP2 Post #2

(It's kind of cute and sweet that the second blog post of the second writing project falls on 2/22/22)
Anyways!
This is an article I found titled "Transportation Policy and the Underdevelopment of Black Communities" which delves into "the benefits and burdens of ... highways ... [that] have been planned, developed, and sustained to pull resources from Black communities that are subsequently deployed and invested to the benefit of predominantly white communities," specifically citing Syracuse as a prime example of this phenomenon (12). I now plan to include more communities than just Syracuse, but will definitely use this article in my paper given its strong points and perspective on the matter.

Happy twosday! Interesting article and very interesting to read about the relation between the two.
ReplyDeleteI think Syracuse is such an interesting town because of its size and proximity to a college campus. Maybe look at another college town and see if there is a pattern. Also, try and compare Syracuse to a smaller town and bigger city.
